Donate -- and Support Our New Parade Partner
Donate the building materials and products that you don’t need, take a tax deduction — and help the charitable organization that will be providing volunteers for the BIA at this year’s Parade of Homes.
Habitat for Humanity can put to good use those items that you are storing but not using. Many of you have products and materials that were not the right size, color or did not met your client’s needs that are taking up space in your showroom or warehouse. If so, the good news is that you can donate these items of a very worthwhile organization, Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Your donations will be legally tax deductible, and Habitat will give you a receipt on the spot.
The ReStore accepts new and reusable goods suited for resale. The list of acceptable items is lengthy, however, some of the more prominent items that BIA members might be interested in donating include:
- Door Hardware
- Wall covering
- and more.
For a complete list of acceptable items as well as those that are not, please visit www.ReStoreMIDOHIO.org.
The BIA will partner with Habitat for Humanity during the 2014 Parade at Trail’s End to staff the BIA Foundation Home as well as other Parade homes where their volunteers are needed. This is an exciting opportunity for both groups.
Help us to create an even more successful partnership by donating your new and unused items to their ReStore. Most items do need to be dropped off to one of their store locations, however, for large donations, those that would fill a truck, pick up service is available in both Franklin and Licking counties. The Donation Hotline is 614.364.7028 or visit their website at www.ReStoreMIDOHIO.org.
Spring is the time for cleaning and the ReStore is the place for your donations. Give back to the community and help further our new partnership by taking your unwanted building items to the ReStore.
